Your kids are going to make bad decisions sometimes. It’s a fact of life. But it can be hard to accept when you spend the majority of your days raising them. It can be frustrating when you’ve taken the time to teach them right from wrong and they still do something they’re not supposed to.
As a mom it can be such a let-down. It can make you feel that what you’re doing day in and day out isn’t getting through to your kids. It can be hard to take and even harder to accept. But one moment in my family completely changed my way of thinking about what happens when kids make wrong decisions.
Here’s an excerpt of my post that’s featured over at The Stay-at-Home-Mom Survival Guide.
Have you ever felt like the decisions your children make are a reflection on you,
On your parenting skills.
Like when they make a wrong decision,
Or perhaps 10 wrong decisions.
It’s enough to drive you crazy.
Right?
I felt guilt-ridden about something that my youngest daughter did that was absolutely 100% not my fault.
And it brought about some pretty epic realizations.
